Running into the holidays 🎅

Christmas eve eve, and I’m just back from my early evening 30 minute run in the countryside.

I have to say it was beautiful out there tonight, not a sinner about, in the pitch black, and with the temperature at 8c, it’s incredibly mild for late December.

Feeling strong

Feeling strong

All in all, it’s been a pretty rough year for most. Two years into this pandemic, and at times, it feels we are going round and round in circles, with little to no hope for what the future holds for each of us.

I personally hold much of government and main stream media responsible for alot of the distress in society this Christmas, as they continue with their daily onslaught of incredibly distressing messaging, which is putting the fear of death into huge chunks of our society, and in particular the older generation.

However, the really good news is that regardless of the ongoing propaganda on the health side of things, it appears better news is coming.

It has to be said that much of the data coming out around this new so called variant “omicron” is extremely positive, with our own government telling us that if one was to catch it, one in three have NO SYMPTOMS, and the other two might experience symptoms similar to that of a cold 🤷‍♂️

Grant it’s early days, but much of what I have seen in the last 7 days, including a wave of new restrictions, which will destroy lives and livlihoods, appear to be completely unwarranted.

The other interesting thing I would like to say is that I have yet to hear our politicians, minister of health or even our Chief Medical Officer, set out for people, measures they might consider to build their own immune systems, improve their health, and thus give people another tool, which would protect them from a range of viruses, including C19.

Maybe they all plan to do this in the New Year, and there will be a change of tac, here’s hoping 🤞

For me, I’m delighted to make it to another Christmas in tremendous spirit and health, and over the next 10 days I’m looking forward to doing abit of running, walking, eating, singing, dancing and playing guitar with my family at home 🎸

I would encourage regular readers of my blog to make a committment over the holidays to prioritise your health in 2022.

A number of years ago, I figured out if I was able to get myself fit and healthy, everything else would look after itself.

I’ll keep saying it, your health is your wealth.

Have a great Christmas everyone, and enjoy the holidays 🥂🎆🎄
